Art Drop

Project Scope: To design a functional object(s) whose aim is to create meaningful social or interpersonal engagement between people with an already existing relationship.

Time Frame: One Month

We set out to design a product for the DIY (do it yourself) community that creates an unique shared experience when painting a room in the home.

Through reseach we found that painting was the ideal form of DIY to create meaningful interactions because it's often a mundane task that happens to be a part of a great life moment such as purchasing a new home.

The final product is a dropcloth with a printed graphic and and plastic picture frame. Along with this products a user would have access to the digital community space that is accessible through the QR code and would be the future step of this project.
